Arte de Capa – Filhos de Shäkti / Cover Art - Children of Shäkti

Olá pessoal, hoje vou mostrar uma das capas que estou fazendo, por enquanto vamos mostrar somente no traço, mas ela já ta pronta.

Hello everybody, today I will show you one of the covers I did. For now, we’ll show the line art only, but it is already finished.

Essa é a capa da Hq “Filhos de Shäkti”, que o Deyvison já apresentou no post anterior. Fazer essa capa foi interessante, pois fugi do estilo que faço habitualmente de traço a lápis misturado com cor digital porque a idéia da capa era simular pinturas indígenas em pedra.

This is the cover of the "Childre of Shäkti" comic, which Deyvison has already presented in the previous post. Making this cover was interesting, because I stepped away from the penciling style mixed with digital color I usually use because the idea for the cover was to simulate Indian paintings in stones.

Já tinha recebido antes um sketch com uma idéia geral do que deveria ser a capa, daí foi só discussão até chegar na idéia final.

I had already received a sketch with a general idea of how the cover should look like, so we only needed to discuss until we got to the final idea.

Toda a composição foi feita de maneira que todos os elementos levem o olhar para a mandala no centro da imagem, ou o inverso de dentro pra fora. Como referencia usei elementos astecas e maias paras as máscaras, decorações e as cores geralmente bem vivas.

The whole composition was made so that all the elements lead the eye to the mandala in the center of the image, or vice versa inside out. I used Mayan and Aztec references for the masks and decorations, mainly with vivid colors.

Pra desenhar usei caneta Tombow que lembra bastante pincel.

Bom, acho que é isso, até a próxima capa.

I used a Tombow pen for the drawing process, as it resembles paintbrushes quite well.
